In recent years, the company has invested heavily in equipment, in accordance with environmental license parameters. It maintains more than 500 hectares of forest, preserving natural resources and improving air quality, while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Alibem seeks continuous improvement in all its processes, demonstrating commitment to environmental issues, respecting current norms and legislation, with units licensed by competent environmental agencies.

Sustainable Livestock

Alibem is committed to sourcing its raw materials while respecting labor, environmental, and land ownership requirements. We conduct daily monitoring of our cattle production chain and have an external specialized company to audit our procedures and issue technical opinions. Alibem and InPACTO

We are members of the National Pact Institute for the Eradication of Slave Labor (InPACTO). Founded in 2013, the Institute’s objective is to unite the private sector and civil society organizations to prevent and eradicate slave labor in production chains.

We work continuously to produce increasingly safe and high-quality products. Therefore, we have strict quality and safety controls throughout the entire production chain, following norms and standards for manufacturing, processing, storage, and transportation processes. Additionally, we constantly invest in training our team and modernizing our laboratories, where we conduct chemical and biological analyses on products.

Alibem operates in alignment with the social interests of the region, prioritizing ethics, transparency, and well-being. In partnership with the municipality of Rondonópolis-MT, it offers the EJA project, allowing employees to complete their studies. The company also invests in occupational health and safety, ensuring adequate infrastructure, training, PPE, and initiatives such as workplace exercise, prevention campaigns, and balanced nutrition.

Animal Welfare

Caring for animal welfare is a commitment of Alibem. Therefore, the company has an animal welfare program that seeks to minimize their discomfort at different stages of the production process.

The company has operational procedures from loading at properties, during transport, receiving, animal handling, and during the slaughter process. Training is conducted regularly and the program is reviewed annually to cultivate best practices and improve animal welfare indicators.

Alibem believes that the sustainable growth of its business depends on practices that contribute to development and quality of life for society, through initiatives that promote environmental preservation.

To achieve this, we adopt initiatives such as:
– Ensuring proper disposal of waste (dry and organic);
– Encouraging environmental awareness among our employees through rational use of natural resources (recycle, reuse, and reduce);
– Investing in the search for processes that reduce water demand in our operations;
– Using renewable forests as an energy source;

2023 Sustainability Report

Alibem and Agra reaffirm their commitment to transparency by launching the 2023 Sustainability Report. The document provides an overview of the companies’ operational, financial, environmental, social, and governance performance.

Following Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, the report presents management, policies, corporate practices, and key ESG indicators. The definition of reported topics involved the participation of stakeholders such as employees, clients, and suppliers.
